Quality Education and
Learning Outcomes: Time to Unleash Our Potentials by Dr.
Sushma Singh & Er. Himani Priya |
This paper presents the National
Achievement Survey in light of the role of different
stakeholders in society to achieve learning outcomes for
quality education. The stakeholder as mentioned below by the
authors play an immense role in quality education goals, what
the authors want to suggest is interlinking of these as it is
the right time to unleash potentials of society. The
comparative analysis of states with a national average of
achievement has been done, further, the analysis has been
used to understand the role of civil society especially
Non-Governmental Organizations. What the paper highlights are
the interlinking of these various stakeholders within
themselves and governmental bodies. It suggests how to reduce
duplicity of data as well as efforts and usage of time by
minimizing independent surveys and analysis, instead of
making surveys like the National Achievement Survey as base
data due to its authenticity and techniques. The learning
outcomes to be obtained as suggested by the education system
on the basis of National Achievement Survey results would be
potentially achieved when all the stakeholders would come
together and unleash their potentials. Keeping this in mind
it presents examples of State Government and Non-Governmental
Organization on how they are trying to achieve the common
goal. |

Socio-Economic and
Environmental Factors Affecting Female Labor Force
Participation in Saudi Arabia: ARDL Bounds Testing Approach
by Dr. Manal Osman Elhaj & Dr. Puja Sunil Pawar |
The paper aims to highlight the
issues and obstacles of the women labor force by examining
the economic, social and environmental factors affecting
female labor force participation in KSA during the period
1990-2018. Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag ARDL bounds
testing approach applied to estimate the relationship between
female labor force participation (FLFP), education, per
capita Gross Domestic Product (PGDP), the ratio of urban
population to the total population (urbanization) and CO2
Emissions. One of our important contributions is the
introduction of the effect of CO2 emission on women's labor
force participation. All findings confirm the presence of
co-integration between female labor force participation,
education, GDP per capita, urbanization and CO2 emissions. It
is found that in the short-run, education had no impact on
female labor force participation. It concludes that
regardless of the obstacles and challenges faced by the
female labor force in KSA; Vision 2030 paves a new path to
empower women to contribute effectively to the economic
growth of the country. |

Role of Finance Banks on
the Evolution of Average Scale Enterprises by Dr. Segun Edo
|
This study analyzed the role of
Microfinance Banks in the development of small and medium
enterprises in five selected communities in Anaocha L.G.A of
Anambra State, Nigeria. The study used questionnaire to
elicit information from a sample of 109 staff of both
Microfinance Banks and small and medium scale enterprises in
the study area. The Chi-square statistical tool was applied
to determine the magnitude of discrepancy between the
variables, expectation and observations. The test was carried
out at 5% level of significance. The result obtained
indicates that SMEs do encounter problems in the procurement
of loans from commercial banks in the study area, government
policies have favored SMEs and SMEs have knowledge of
Microfinance Banks in the study areas. Hence the study
recommended that government at all levels can intervene in
reducing the restrictive requirements and high interest rates
of financial institutions by providing funding to the SMEs
through a state bank with low interest rates and
restrictions. |
