1 Barangay Officials and Employees’ Personal Computer Operation Competency: A Baseline Study by Joefel T. Libo-on, PhD, Virgil L. Penuela, Nathanstee Q. Anayan & Maricon R. Rafol In today’s generation, interior and local government units in the Philippines need to improve the transaction of public services through computerization. The municipality of San Fernando, Romblon composed of twelve barangays -the basic unit of government in the Philippines- with more than twenty-five thousand residents is looking forward to engaging in the new era of technology and become more knowledgeable on how to utilize tools and techniques to serve a bigger purpose like making transactions convenient by the use of basic computer operations, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and the Internet. A self-assessment survey was conducted among one hundred twenty barangay officials and employees on their level of competencies on how to use personal computer operation. The majority of the participants are considered beginners because of their limited knowledge in personal computer operation specifically in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and Internet and Email and advance level in MSWord. Furthermore, there is only a limited computer in each barangay. Also, the respondents during the interview are willing to undergo pieces of training to facilitate the upliftment in the services that they offered to their respective constituents with the aid of computerization. 23-February-2020 07-January-2021/

2 Book Review - Reset Regaining India's Economic Legacy by Dr. JonardanKoner The book describes a journey of India from British period to present stage from a macro economics perspective. The book deals with one of the most discussed topics today - India's economic struggles and the way forward. The book aptly describes India's economy in three stages - Pre-Independence, Post-Independence till liberalization, and Post-Liberalization India. This book is termed as most comprehensive document detailing the growth and development of Indian economy till date. The book helps to identify focal points of economic gaps, out of box realistic ideas to fix them and gripping narration covering the landscape of India's economy history of 150 years backed by data analytics at every stage. The author urges India not to miss out knowledge and Innovation revolution of 21st century after missing out industrial revolution of 19th and globalisation in 20th due to command economy framework. 28-December-2020 7-January-2021/

3 Predicting Performance of Graduates in the Licensure Examination through Path Analysis toward Curriculum Improvement by Michelle G. Gabasa & Avelina R. Raqueño Passing the licensure examination which is administered and performed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is one of the biggest accomplishments of all board program graduates here in the Philippines. Similarly, graduates' licensing performance can reflect the quality and effectiveness of their respective institutions' instruction. The top priority of any Higher Education Institution (HEI) and State University and College (SUC) here in the Philippines is high performance in the board program licensing examinations conducted by the PRC. A number of passers in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) have been produced by the Occidental Mindoro State College in recent years, but annual passing percentages are low compared to the national passing percentage. For this reason, the school is now challenged to deliver a desirable number of College of Teacher Education board passer graduates which is above the national passing rate. This study determined which among the subject areas in the academic and comprehensive examination predict the licensure examination performance of the OMSC-CTE BSEd and BEEd graduates. To explain the academic, comprehensive, and licensure examination performances of the graduates, descriptive statistics such as weighted mean and standard deviation were used. The relationships among the variables were established using Pearson-Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and path analysis was utilized in designing mathematical models in predicting the licensure performance of the BSEd and BEEd graduates. The findings of this study disclosed that the generally weighted averages (GWAs) in general education, major courses, and comprehensive examination are significant predictors of the licensure examination performance of BSED graduates while GWAs in general education and comprehensive examination are the significant predictors of the licensure examination performance of BEEd graduates. Based on these results, it was proposed that a more intensive enhancement practice with comprehensive examination must be provided by the college since the comprehensive examination was found to be a significant predictor of the graduates’ licensure performance. The College of Teacher Education's curriculum must also be constantly improved and strengthened, especially in general education and major courses, as these subject areas are important predictors of BLEPT. 21-December-2020 17-January-2021/

4 A Review on Biological Activities of Linear Pyranocoumarins by Priya P Joshi Background: Coumarins (2H-l-benzopyran-2-ones, 2) are secondary metabolites synthesized by plants having a place with families like leguminosae, rutaceae, umbelliferae, and compositae. There is a lot of confusion with respect to the specific role of coumarins in plants yet it is referred to that they function as growth regulators, seed dormancy regulators, bacteriostats, fungistats, and so forth.
Objective: The present review discusses the important biological activities of Linear pyranocoumarins having 2,2-dimethylpyran ring fused to parent coumarin structure.
Methods: This review is based on a literature search done between January 2001 and August 2020 through PubMed® and ScienceDirect databases. The collected studies are both in vitro and in vivo in nature.
Result: It has been found that linearly fused pyranocoumarins have numerous significant biological activities like anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-cancer (activities against lung, breast, skin, prostrate cancer, leukemia, etc.), hepatoprotective activity, anti-HIV, neuroprotective activities, etc. Some research points out the presence of 2,2,-dimethylpyran ring and functional groups present on it to be the cause of such diverse biological activities.
Conclusion: Thus the goal of this review is to provide knowledge as well as probing of a few of the linear pyrano coumarins which may serve as new leads for the discovery of the anti-cancer drug, anti-fungal agent, and anti-tumor promoter.

5 The Recent Open-Research Developments & Future Challenges in Ants Colony Optimization Algorithms: A Review by Badamasi Ja’afaru, Nahuru Ado SabonGari & Jamilu Yusuf Ant Colony Optimization is an algorithm based on Swarm Intelligence (SI) and inspired by the actual ant's clustering behavior. Many styles of work have shown that ACO algorithms have been demonstrated to be substantially effective in reducing and addressing different complexities in real-life problems. This paper offers a brief review as an insight into the developments in ACO algorithms and the patterns in their publishing over the 2013-2019 review periods. This is intended to help inexperienced researchers and other readers who might need a bird-eye view of the general, local and global convergences of ACO algorithms. 2-December-2020 1-February-2021/
