1 Advertising Strategies of Selected Brands in Times of Covid-19: A Comparative Analysis by Dr. Anuradha Mishra The year 2020 was a difficult year for the advertising industry. The advertising business has been upended by the Coronavirus, along with other sectors of the global economy. The advertising sector was one of the first to be affected as its investments were cut back. The advertising industry had to bear the loss in many ways. For example, advertisers were hit tremendously due to a fall in sales, a fall in audiences for live sports and events, and in-person pitch meetings were cancelled. To overcome the loss in the advertising business the advertising agencies and advertisers had to change their advertising strategies. The brands which were previously advertising on traditional media have to shift to digital advertising. Those brands which were already using digital advertising had to upgrade their technologies and creativity to fight for their place in the market. In this light, the selected study aims to identify and compare the advertising strategies of selected brands. The research is based on the qualitative research approach which covers data from a secondary source of information. The study would also help in estimating future strategies for advertising campaigns. 09-February-2022 20-June-2022/

3 Block Chain and Scholarly Publishing by Mrs.Bhagyashree Vinit Tamhane Blockchain is a peer-to-peer, decentralised, encrypted network of trust. Blockchain technology provides a means of securely exchanging information while guarding against fraud and hackers. It is essential to science, research, and scholarly communication. The cost of obtaining academic research, the ownership of the copyrights by publishers rather than authors, the rise of low-quality journals, the lack of recognition and compensation for reviewers are just a few of the problems that the research community must cope with. The lengthy and possibly biassed peer-review and publication processes are a serious issue for the industry. By implementing blockchain technology throughout the industry, these issues can be resolved. A block of data is created by the user, who then uses a mathematical formula to produce a so-called hash that is specific to that block and has a defined length. The underlying data cannot be changed without changing the hash.Blockchain can assist researchers, funding organisations, academic institutions, publishers, businesses, and governments in coordinating their objectives by creating a decentralised and competitive market. 14-May-2022 30-June-2022/

4 Exploring the Landscape: Open Peer Review’s Impact and Scope in the Scholarly Publishing Ecosystem by Dr. Sachin J. Shastri Open peer review is a method of evaluating work that promotes transparency and accountability. It involves disclosing the identity of authors and reviewers, allowing for a more informed and responsible evaluation process. Enhanced OPR transparency holds the capacity to significantly enhance scientific communication. Despite the increasing interest in OPR since 2000, its implementation has been sluggish. Both publishers and researchers emphasize the critical importance of peer review in the publication and dissemination of research findings. Currently, there is a significant amount of experimentation taking on about the techniques of peer review, both before and after the publishing of research. Peer review is beneficial for writers, journals, and reviewers in a broad sense. Prior to publication, the process of peer review provides the author with an opportunity to have their work evaluated, scrutinized, and validated by an unbiased third party in terms of its precision and excellence. Research findings published in scientific journals have demonstrated significant efficacy in facilitating scientists to expand upon one other's work, analyse and improve results, provide new viewpoints and observations, and develop innovative inquiries and ideas. Additionally, they facilitate the development of communities of scholars specializing in related fields. Peer review is essential for regulating and significantly enhancing scientific communication. Peer review aims to increase confidence in research findings by enhancing their quality and accuracy. The main causes for concern revolve around the escalating volume of articles being submitted for publication and the mounting pressure on scholars to publish, particularly in prestigious journals. Publishers are also worried about reviews that are overly critical or negative, and they want to make sure that reviewers don't put too much pressure on authors or have unrealistic expectations for them. Publishers are implementing several measures to improve their capacity to strike a favourable equilibrium between appropriately rigorous assessments and excessively harsh critiques. 10-May-2022 30-June-2022/

In recent days, after the experience of a global pandemic, consumers are highly focusing on the environmental impact of luxury brands. Consumers expect luxury brands to be socially responsible and sustainable. Thereby, adhering to sustainable practices seems to be vital for a brand to ensure a robust relationship with customers. Despite, sustainable production processes are already being adopted by certain brands; physical stores play a major role in retaining brand identity and value. This in turn emphasizes the need for sustainable practices not only in production processes but also among branded retail stores. Branded retailers should take responsible decisions with relevance to their store design and operations that will reduce the negative impacts of their businesses on the environment.
