Culinary specialties of Mysore received increased attention within the spheres of destination marketing and academia. This study aims to provide insight into the dining preference of domestic tourists visiting Mysore. Firstly, findings validate that food planning is significantly different for every category of domestic tourists visiting Mysore. Secondly, findings illustrate Word Of Mouth recommendations remain the most preferred source for dining decision-making for domestic tourists in Mysore. Lastly, the findings indicate that domestic tourists give preference to the restaurant located outside of the hotels for their dining. Some of the key functions of HRM include: Recruitment and selection: HRM is responsible for attracting and selecting the best candidates for open positions in the organization. Training and development: HRM designs and delivers training and development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees. Performance management: HRM sets performance standards and evaluates employees' performance against those standards. Compensation and benefits: HRM designs and administers compensation and benefits programs that reward employees for their contributions to the organization. Employee relations: HRM manages the relationship between employees and the organization, ensuring that employees are treated fairly and that their rights are protected. Overall, HRM is a critical function in any organization, as it ensures that the organization's most important asset - its employees - are effectively managed and developed to achieve the organization's strategic goals. Human Resource Management (HRM) is the function within an organization that is responsible for managing the organization's human resources. This involves activities such as recruiting and hiring employees, developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing employee benefits and compensation, training and development, and employee relations. Therefore, the present study measures the present status of tourism and HRM in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. Results of One sample t-test and independent sample t-test show that study area has potential for both tourism and HRM in the region along with some existential challenges. Before deciding to buy, the consumers analyze the product features, compare the prices of different brands, check the reviews given by the users of the brands, and eventually select the brand which suits their preferences. The personal care product(PCP) market has a huge scope on social media platforms. Right from well-established brands to small emerging brands, each one has its customer base on the social media platform. This study analyses the preference of brands for PCPs among the consumers and the significant part of the social platform in influencing the consumers in their buying decision of PCPs. The study focuses on the most dominant factor which induces the consumers to rely on social platforms to make the buying decision of PCPs. 5 | A Teaching-Learning Module in the Four Areas in Handicraft Utilizing Abaca as Raw Materials by Judy A. Cornelia, Ed.D. and Craig N. Refugio, Ph.D | This study was undertaken to design a teaching module for students’ use for them to acquire basic knowledge and skills in Handicraft utilizing abaca as raw materials. From the findings of the study, it is revealed that abaca fiber, abaca twine, and abaca cloth are the raw materials from abaca that can be used in the four areas in Handicraft; that out of these raw materials the following could be produced such as a) crocheted centerpiece, and lace for placemat, coasters, and hot pads for the Handicraft area in Crochet; b) braided hot pads, and braided slippers for the Handicraft area in Braiding; c) embroidered centerpiece for the Handicraft area in Embroidery; and, d) tatted lace for centerpiece, placemat, hot pads, and coasters, and tatted lace for slippers for the Handicraft area in Tatting; Moreover, it is also found out that the module presented in provides students in Handicraft with knowledge to acquire additional skills in the utilization of abaca as raw material in the four areas in Handicraft. This study passed the Standard of Fiber Industry Development Authority (FIDA) for export purposes; and that with this Module, Negros Oriental State University (NORSU) First Year Handicraft students will be provided with additional knowledge in utilizing abaca as raw material in the four areas in Handicraft, thereby enhancing their knowledge in the use of abaca materials. | 08-February-2022 | 29-March-2022/ 31-March-2022 |
