A Cost-Effective Method for Blood Group Detection Using Fingerprints by Dr.D.Siva Sundhara Raja and J.Abinaya. In this latest automated world, it has become more and more essential to keep people in a protected way. This paper proposes an important scheme of blood group detection using a fingerprint. There are five feature extraction used in the fingerprint images and represented using a mathematical model. In this paper, we have increased the efficiency of fingerprint matching by combining GLCM based feature extraction, wavelet feature extraction, laws of texture feature extraction and minutiae feature extraction with Back Propagation Neural Network based matching. Once the feature extraction is collected, a database containing other fingerprints are built the extracted features are compared with the Neural Network Classification with the previously available set of fingerprint images. So Depending on the similarities close that is whichever fingerprint gets the highest match with the given input image, we declare the result of the fingerprint blood group it actually belongs to. 01 - 10 Download Paper
Anthelmintic studies on the leaves of Urena lobata Linn by P.L.Rajagopal, K.T.Linsha, K.R.Sreejith, K.Premaletha, I.Arthi Parthasarathy, S.Aneeshia In the present study, alcoholic and aqueous extracts of the leaves of Urena lobata were investigated for their anthelmintic activity against Tubifex tubifex, Ecinia foeitida and Pheretima posthuma. The parameters analysed include time of paralysis and time of death of parasites. The alcoholic extract of the leaves of the plant showed significant activity when compared with the aqueous extract of the same plant. 11 - 15 Download Paper
Acetylated Groundnut Husk and Sugarcane Bagasse Use on Oil Sorption: Equilibrium and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy in Focus by Engr. Chiaha Pamela Nnenna, Prof. Onwu D. O., PhD, Engr. Nwabueze H.Ogochukwu, Engr. Onoh, I. Maxwell In this study, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to investigate the acetylation of groundnut husk and sugarcane bagasse. Equilibrium isotherm data were analyzed using the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. The regression coefficient (R2) values for acetylated groundnut husk (0.997),raw groundnut husk(0.991),acetylated sugarcane bagasse (0.986),and raw sugarcane bagasse (0.985) for Freundlich model was higher than that obtained for Langmuir model which shows that freundlich model is suitable for explaining the sorption equilibrium of crude oil on the adsorbents. Acetylated groundnut husk and sugarcane bagasse are therefore recommended for further development for oil spill cleanup. 16 - 25 Download Paper
Role of a Teacher – According to Swami Vivekananda by Payel Dutta The word ‘Education’ comes from the word ‘Educatum’, ‘Educare’ etc. Educare means to nourish, to bring up and Bengali meaning is Shiksha. The word ‘Shiksha’ is derived from the word ‘Shah’ which meaning is to control or to discipline. Only an ideal teacher can help to bring up or control a student. So Vivekananda told that teacher is the most important person in society. Education is a method of overall development. Both of Teacher and student are included in the method from the pre-historical period. They are depended on each other. Because the teacher teaches through some method to student and student follows that method. The students are able to develop their own soul. So the teacher is called educator. Now the most important matter is that they would be taking part in the honor in this process. No education is completed without anyone participation. So Adams in his book ‘Evolution to Education Theory’ said that education is a bipolar process in which one personality effects by another personality. Another personality is called the teacher. In this process, the teacher plays a most important role. Because Swami Vivekananda said that Education is not only gathering some information from the book. Education has been present in our own soul since birth. So it is an intrinsic issue which is manifested by the only teacher who is introduced as an external issue. Vivekananda said that teacher would be a good personality, knowledgeable, etc for character building of student. In this article I want to discuss from the view of Swami Vivekananda about some teaching method and why Swami Vivekananda told role of a teacher and character of a teacher are a most important path, where is a relation between the character of a teacher and overall manifestation of a student, etc. 26 - 30 Download Paper
Conveyance Matrix in Manipur: Tryst with Evolution by Kaishdeep Sumit Transport and communication play a vital role for ensuring sustained economic growth of the economy of Manipur. It is the basic infrastructure needed for generation of economic activities and provide ample employment opportunities in the State of Manipur. The State is served mainly by two means of transport network viz., roads and airways. Railway transport network in the State is only in the infant stage and so also the water transport network. During the pre-colonial period the conditions of transport network was in a very rudimentary stage. The Imphal-Dimapur Road Transport and the Cachar Road Transport Network were the only connectivity of the nearby States and the rest of the Indian Union. These two road transport networks were the backbone and the only life lines of Manipur economy. However, during the Post-Independence period, the condition of the road transport was improved through undertaking various five year plan schemes under the North Eastern Council (NEC) Plan. With the opening up of the Indo-Myanmar Border Trade in 1995 and implementation of India, Myanmar and Thailand (IMT) Motor Vehicle Agreement (MVA) in 2015, there has been a sea change in the growth and development of transport network in the State of Manipur. Transport network in Manipur play a significant role in ensuring sustained growth of the Manipur economy through Indo-Myanmar Border Trade. As such, the present study makes an attempt (i) to trace the growth and development of the transport network in Manipur; (ii) to make an appraisal of the progress and achievements of transport and communication network in Manipur; and (iii) to make a review of the significance of the transport network in Indo- Myanmar Border Trade; and (iv) to examine the current status of the heritage of Moreh Economy. 31 - 43 Download Paper
Collaborative Business and Deficit Reduction: An Observed Survey by Dr. Joseph Emeka Ifediba Cooperative Marketing and Poverty Reduction were extensively studied in this paper. One hundred and fifty questionnaires were distributed to one hundred and fifty respondents from randomly drawn nine registered cooperative societies in Awka South L.G.A of Anambra State. Only One hundred and twenty respondents returned their questionnaire. Correlation Analysis, ordinary least square regression and Ch-square were the statistical tools used to answer the research questions and the test of hypotheses. From the result, there were significant effect between cooperative movement and the unemployment and poverty reductions. While Ch-square analysis of HO3 suggest that government has not exploited the benefits of cooperative societies in the transformation of the Nigeria developing economy and recommended total government support to enhance performance. 44 - 48 Download Paper
Purpose of Critical Pattern of 60 Meter Ship Form Project Using Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) by Fadlan Ewi Gunanta & Kevin PT. XYZ in Surabaya is engaged in the production of commercial ships, providing ship repair and maintenance services as well as general engineering with specifications based on orders. Along with the development of the technology industry, ship production requires every shipyard to evaluate the system used. The time delay is the problem of building a 60 meter commercial ship. The Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) is a method for scheduling project time and showing critical trajectories of project activities. The results showed that in the project scheduling, there are 13 activities that have a zero value or critical activity which are activities 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28 So that it needs more strict control and supervision from the contractor in carrying out the activities of the 60 meter commercial ship building project activities for each activity/activity so that it does not experience delays and the project can be completed on time. 49 - 62 Download Paper
