1 | The Changing Face of Education Needs Makeover through Assessment for Learning by Dr. Sushma Singh | Paper explores the need of
assessment for learning due to changing nature of educational
goals and also the relationship between assessment and
teaching learning for the quality improvement in the schools
of Delhi. How different teaching strategies for assessment
for learning can help to bridge the learning deficits and to
achieve the learning outcomes in upper primary classes? Four classroom strategies are discussed in the paper for assessment for learning: 1. Use of questioning. 2. Peer feedback. 3. Student’s self-assessment. 4. Formative use of summative assessment. For example different strategies for the Peer feedback are: a. two stars and a wish. b. Plus Minus and what next? c. Warm and cool feedback. d. Traffic lights. e. Using models and exemplar. f. De Bono’s Hats. Reflection activities of peer assessment, self-assessment and group assessment and How to set the targets using SMART acronym are also in exploration pipe line and are also being practiced by the investigator to check their effectiveness in real classroom situation. Further few strategies to promote the formative use of tests will also be explored by the investigator: 1. making formative use of state tests like: Base line tests to find out the learning levels of the students in all Delhi government schools. 2. Making formative use of classroom testing. 3. Timings of tests: Tests before the lesson, midway tests and after the tests strategies are also in the pipe line. At the end paper explains preparing the test by the students using traffic lights. So in all paper is regarding the exploration of possibilities in the assessment for learning strategies to bridge the learning deficits, which can be implemented in Upper primary classes’ of Delhi schools. |

3 | Purpose of Critical Pattern of 60 Meter Ship Form Project Using Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) by Fadlan Ewi Gunanta & Kevin | PT. XYZ in Surabaya is engaged in the production of commercial ships, providing ship repair and maintenance services as well as general engineering with specifications based on orders. Along with the development of the technology industry, ship production requires every shipyard to evaluate the system used. The time delay is the problem of building a 60 meter commercial ship. The Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) is a method for scheduling project time and showing critical trajectories of project activities. The results showed that in the project scheduling, there are 13 activities that have a zero value or critical activity which are activities 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 15, 16, 20, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28 So that it needs more strict control and supervision from the contractor in carrying out the activities of the 60 meter commercial ship building project activities for each activity/activity so that it does not experience delays and the project can be completed on time. | 34 - 47 | Download Paper |
4 | Crime Prediction Using K-Means Alogorithm by Dr.J.Sita & S.Prakash | In modern years crime areas, Data mining helps to predict the crimes by advanced techniques. Crime is increasing in many countries. Many crimes are happening all over countries. Here we introduced Crime prediction using K-means algorithm used to predict and control crime in this society. Crime is most dangerous for any country. Crimes are social nuisance and affect countries very fast.Crime is an most harmful murder, theft, rape are happening in the world daily. We should predict all crimes using K-means algorithm. This algorithm plays an important role in analyzing and predicting crimes. This algorithm will cluster criminals, co-offenders, collaboration and dissolution of organized crime groups, identifying various relevant crime patterns, hidden links, link prediction of crime data. Crime pattern dedection tool is used to identifying crimes effectively. Crime data can help to speed up the process of solving crimes. Using of data mining we can extract useful and unknown information from an data. Crime can’t be predicted neither systematic nor random. | 48 - 50 | Download Paper |
