1 | Institutional Arrangement for Export of Anthurium in Mizoram: A study of two districts by Margaret Lalbiakthangi | This paper attempt to study how the Anthurium cut foliage has been exported from the state of Mizoram since its first production. Anthurium is a very attractive and beautiful flower with longer shelf life and is used for Presents, Wedding Decorations, Funerals, Birthday gifts, corporate meetings, and important events. The cultivation of the Anthurium in Mizoram is introduced very recently and surprisingly it has performed very well in the state. Anthurium cut foliage is sold in metropolitan cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore and foreign countries like Dubai, Japan, etc. The results of the study show that Anthurium is having a good market potential in the local market, metropolitan cities and across the globe, so it can also generate huge revenue for the state if proper Institutional arrangement is made. Anthurium cut foliage is the only product exported from the state of Mizoram that has reached the global market. If the production technology is properly managed, it can generate a handsome income for a single-family. Besides the growers, it generates employment to the women of other families in terms of labor. Floriculture can replace shifting cultivation to a large extent in many places of the North-Eastern states if a proper institutional arrangement is made since the demand for the anthurium cut foliage is high. It is cultivated along the hill slopes using Shade Net and the Galvanised Iron structure with irrigation facilities. | 20-January-2020 | 11-March-2020/ 17-March-2020 |

Many lakes, dams, ponds, wells and step wells are found in this region. The selected Ratholai Pond is situated in the Pipar City town of Jodhpur district and assessed the Zooplanktonic crustacean diversity during the period from July 2018 to June 2019. Zooplanktonic crustacean was examined quantitatively with standard identification methods. Zooplankton occupies a significant position structure of the Pond Ecosystem and plays a key role in the energy transfer. Using a microscopic taxonomical Study revealed that 17 species of Zooplanktonic crustaceans were identified into three major groups comprises of Cladocera, Copepoda, and Ostracoda. Zooplankton composition is highest in the summer months and lowest in the monsoon months. We also find out the effect of water quality on aquatic life. 3 | Physiochemical Assessment of Ludhiana Textile Industry Effluent near Buddha Nullah by Harpreet Kaur & Dr. Gursharan Singh Kainth | One of the major contributors to pollution problems in India is Textile effluent. Coupled with, large quantities of untreated wastewater lead to a rise in the water pollution level. The present study was undertaken to investigate the pollution potential of textile effluent draining into the Buddha Nullah stream of the Ludhiana district of Punjab. Discharge from various industrial outlets was collected for the study. Physicochemical analysis (pH, water temperature, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, biochemical oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand of Buddha Nullah water was carried out. Resulting estimates revealed that the value of pH, water temperature, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, biochemical oxygen demand, and chemical oxygen demand is much higher than the recommendation of WHO and unfit for human consumption. Such discharge has to recycle even for industrial and irrigation purposes. | 14-January-2020 | 06-March-2020/ 30-March-2020 |
