1 | Nuclear Factor Kappa B (NFB): A Key Factor involved in Hypoxia-induced Chemoresistance and Stemness of Breast Cancer Cells by Tawari E. P. & Baulch E. K. | Hypoxia induced nuclear factor kappa B (NFB) promotes signalling pathways involved in the inflammatory response through the regulation of gene expression of proinflammatory cytokines, adhesion molecules, enzymes, and pro-inflammatory enzymes. NFB, a family of transcription factors is one of the many transcription factors activated during hypoxia to ensure the survival of cells during hypoxic insults. It is widely overexpressed in many cancers such as pancreatic cancers, breast cancer, brain cancer, colon cancer, and its antiapoptotic properties inhibits apoptosis enabling the survival of hypoxic insult in cancer cells. Hypoxia induced NFB activation is also believed to contribute to the maintenance of cancer stem cells (CSCs) during the development and progression of tumors, this study was performed to evaluate the response of these overexpressing NFBp65 to anticancer drugs and to determine if it affects invasion and migration in cancer cell lines.More.. | 23-Mar-2020 | 07-May-2020/ 16-May-2020 |

3 | How HSC Qualifying Exam Scores Influence on Students’ Higher Educational Performance? by Mr. Abhijit Pandharinath Mahale | The main intention of the research paper is to find out the relation of students’ performance at degree level higher education examinations with HSC Board or equivalent exam qualifying marks for admissions. The study has taken a sample of first 10 merit admission scores of each continuous 5 years’ batches from a college. Their performance at various semesters and final degree exams has been considered for analysis with HSC admission scores. The statistical measure of correlation and trend percentages of 3 years of each batch has been used for evaluation. The HSC admission scores have been considered to be the independent variable and the base year. Except for the last single batch, the degree exam performances of all other first four batches show a strong correlation with HSC admission scores, and also there are commensurate trend percentage attainments at degree exams though numerically not equal. 5 | An Investigation into the Relationship between French and English Reading Abilities: Freshmen Students of the English Department at Meknes as a Case Study by El Mehdi EL MADANI & Mohammed LAROUZ | This study strives to investigate students’ reading ability across foreign languages in Morocco. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between French and English reading abilities. Specifically, it attempts to measure students’ metacognitive awareness of reading strategies and explore its impact on English reading development. Data were collected using two reading comprehension tests in French and English and a reading strategy questionnaire. 80 freshmen university students in Meknes formed the sample of this investigation. In this regard, the study employed Pearson product-moment and partial correlation as statistical tools to analyze the generated data. The findings showed that there is no relationship between participants’ French and English reading abilities. The study also revealed that metacognitive knowledge and mainly the metacognitive awareness of reading strategies of students has a significant positive impact on their English reading ability. Eventually, the findings of this endeavor have triggered various implications and recommendations for future research. | 05-Feb-2020 | 20-May-2020/ 25-May-2020 |

6 | Unit Cost Calculation with Activity Based Costing Method for Inpatient Rates (Case study at Rumah Sakit Umum Bungsu) by Krystele Angelin & Asep Darmansyah | Rumah Sakit Umum Bungsu (RSU Bungsu) determines inpatient service rates based on the traditional costing system (TCSs). This costing causes losses because it did not match the market price which is over costing or under costing. Therefore, to be able to survive and thrive, RSU Bungsu needs ABC method that could carefully measure the accurate rates for inpatient unit service. Data obtained by conducting an interview with the management of RSU Bungsu and from Financial Report (2017-2019) of RSU Bungsu. The findings have shown that rates set by Bungsu Public Hospital in 2017 were over costing for VIP rooms and under costing for Class I, Class II, and Class III. Rates set by the Bungsu Public Hospital in 2018 were over costing for VIP rooms and under costing for Class I, Class II, and Class III. Rates set by the Bungsu Public Hospital in 2019 were over costing for VIP and Class I rooms, as well as under costing for Class II and Class III. We concluded that the ABC method provides more accurate calculation results because in the ABC system overhead costs of each product charged to many cost drivers. Therefore ABC system can allocate activity costs to each room appropriately based on the consumption of each activity. | 16-May-2020 | 28-May-2020/ 31-May-2020 |
