2 Breaking Gender Stereotypes in Tahmima Anam’s A Golden Age by Ms. P M Sindhu Bhavani & Dr. B Vasanthakumar Tahmima Anam depicts the attributes, qualities, joys, contributions, psychological strength, and sufferings of Bangladeshi women in a magnificent manner in her debut novel A Golden Age. Bangladeshi women balance the roles of mother, mourner, sister, friend, nationalist, daughter, wife, and worker with ease. Bangladeshi society tends to ignore the hardships of women. The author has highlighted the realities of women's lives and brings their resilience to the forefront in her work. Rehana faces her struggles without seeking external help by breaking gender stereotypes. While performing a role and executing her responsibilities, she ignores herself and lives happily for her family. Typically, her sacrifices are unappreciated and devalued but that doesn't stop her from pleasing her children. Despite dedicating her entire life to serving others, her rare personal decisions are closely criticized by the patriarchal society. This research focuses on the writer’s effort to portray her protagonist as a survivor instead of a victim. Though the women characters in this novel are confined to their homes, their contributions to the war indirectly have made them unsung war heroines. The author successfully breaks stereotypes by portraying her protagonist as a widowed single mother during the 1971 conflict. Bangladeshi women and their lives during the Bangladesh War of Independence are portrayed with remarkable realism in Tahmima Anam's novel. 15-August-2022 27-September-2022/

3 Digital Economy and Sustainable Use of Resources: A Case Study of Saudi Arabia by Dr. Puja Sunil Pawar This paper attempts to study and explain how the digital economy affects the sustainable use of resources. World bank data is used for understanding the related variables. The time range of the data collected is every five years: from 1970 to 2010 measuring important indicators and an econometric model is developed. The natural logarithm of all variables was taken. It is found that the production of electricity from oil, gas, and coal sources has a satisfactory effect on sustainability because it increases significantly and as we know, it is considered non-renewable and may be depleted, as the increase in its use negatively affects sustainability. 24-August-2022 29-September-2022/

4 Agroforestry for Forest and Landscape Restoration by Gyanaranjan Sahoo, Afaq Majid Wani, Amita Sharma and Sandeep Rout Agroforestry systems that provide permanent tree cover should be promoted in forest landscape restoration initiatives where neither natural forest restoration nor full sun crops are viable large-scale options. An intimate knowledge of local livelihoods, forest use, and farming systems are required for successful initiatives that aspire to revive forest landscapes and develop sustainable agriculture. Agroforestry can improve the resiliency of agricultural systems and mitigate the impacts of temperature change. Existing research suggests that integrating trees on farms can prevent environmental degradation, improve agricultural productivity, increase carbon sequestration (Aertsens et al. 2013), generate cleaner water, and support healthy soil and healthy ecosystems while providing stable incomes and other benefits to human welfare. Although these claims became more widely accepted because the body of agroforestry research increases, systematic understanding of the evidence supporting them remains lacking for high-income countries. Most up-to-date definitions of land degradation also embrace negative changes within the capacity of ecosystems to produce a spread of social and environmental goods and services. Over time, land degradation can increase the vulnerability of rural communities to biological and environmental hazards and to the results of global climate change. Poverty and natural resources/environmental degradation tend to negatively reinforce each other; that's, because the land is degraded, agricultural productivity is lowered, leading to decreasing incomes and food security and vice-versa. For agroforestry to satisfy its potential as an FLR strategy, variety of challenges remains. First, because it tends to fall between the forestry and agriculture sectors, agroforestry has not received much support or planning in many countries. Access to top quality propagation materials (including seeds/seedlings) is addition ally key but often lacking. Adoption of agroforestry also requires that local landholders are ensured proper tenure rights (especially tree tenure) which they need ready access to relevant markets . 10-August-2022 29-September-2022/
